The easiest and fastest way to reuse Kaltura video is to publish that video into a new bCourses site. (There’s no need to download and re-upload the content.)
Use one of the techniques below:
Option 1: If you have a role of Teacher, TA, Lead TA, or Designer in both a course site where the content is already published, and the course site in which you want to use it now, you can use the import functionality. See "How can I import Kaltura Media Gallery content from another course site?"
Option 2: If you are the owner or co-publisher of the specific video(s), you can publish from your My Media. See "How do I publish media from My Media to a Media Gallery in bCourses?"
Do you not have the appropriate role to do either of the above? If so, you will want to request the appropriate role.
- For Option 1, a Teacher in the course site(s) in question can add you as a Teacher, TA, Lead TA, or Designer. Refer them to "How do I add users to my course site?"
- For Option 2, the owner of each video(s) can make you a co-publisher. Refer them to "How do I add collaborators or change the owner of my Kaltura media?" (Note that the workflow is more complicated if the media is from the Course Capture service.)
