How do I use the bConnected On-Premise (bCOP) SMTP server?

bConnected On-Premise (bCOP) is an on-premise SMTP server that replaces the CalMail SMTP server as part of the Email Simplification Program. Campus applications, systems, or devices that need to use bCOP must be able to use an authenticated connection*, and meet at least one of the following minimum requirements:

To request access to bCOP, submit the following Google Form: https://goo.gl/forms/CxyDwguD80g4vUak2

Campus applications, systems, or devices that do not meet the minimum requirements for bCOP should use Gmail SMTP. See: How to Configure the SMTP Settings to send mail from a printer, scanner, or app, or submit a support request to bConnected@berkeley.edu for assistance.

*A Minimum Security Standards Exception is required to relay mail unauthenticated via bCOP.
