How to suppress/hide email recipients

Also known as Bcc or Blind Carbon Copy, this is how you can send emails to multiple parties without disclosing the address(es) to the original recipient. This is very useful for protecting the privacy of individual recipients or contact list members.

The location of the Bcc field varies by email client, but it is usually located by the "To" field, after "CC".

To hide individual recipients of an outgoing message:

  1. In the Bcc field, type the address of the recipient you wish to suppress. To enter multiple addresses separate them by comma.

To hide mailing list addresses:

  1. Create a new email
  2. Address the To field (sending to yourself is a great option)
  3. In the Bcc field type the name of the Contact List you wish to send to, the addresses will be hidden to all recipients.
