UC Berkeley EDR Trellix and BigFix Installation

Requirements

• Computer must be on a UC Berkeley campus network such as a wired campus network, wireless “eduroam”, or connected using bSecure Remote Access VPN if you are off campus
• University owned, self-managed/unmanaged laptops and desktops running Windows 10 or newer
• Administrator privileges on your computer

EDR Trellix and BigFix Installation Steps

1.  If your computer is off-campus, please be sure it is connected to the bSecure Remote Access VPN. Your computer must be on a campus network before proceeding.
   
   
2.  Verify your UC Berkeley Eligibility (Sign in using your @berkeley.edu address)
   
   
3. After successful eligibility verification, you will directed to your available Software and Services page. Scroll down to the section "Security Software" and locate the software title "BigFix". Click the link "Box Folder" to obtain the BigFix MSI installer: BigFixAgent-UCB-2410-01.msi
   
   
   
   
4. Once the download has completed, double-click the MSI installer BigFixAgent-UCB-2410-01.msi to start installing BigFix. You may be prompted to enter the credentials of an account with administrator privileges on your computer.
   
   
5. After BigFix is installed, the EDR Trellix Agent will automatically get installed soon.
   
   
6. Your computer is now secured with EDR Trellix and BigFix.
