- Berkeley Desktop running Windows 10 and joined to Campus Active Directory
- Berkeley Desktop supported Dell OptiPlex and Latitude Hardware
- Self Service Upgrade may work on Berkeley Desktops installed on other manufacturer's hardware
Steps to use the Self Service Offer to upgrade your Berkeley Desktop to Windows 11
- Open the BigFix Self Service portal by clicking the small “b” icon in the taskbar
- Locate the Self Service Offer called “Berkeley Desktop Windows 11 Upgrade” and click the “Accept” button
- A new window will appear to allow you five minutes to save your work. Click the button “Take Action” to start the upgrade process. After five minutes, the upgrade process will automatically start
- The upgrade process may take 45-60 minutes to complete depending on your environment. Please contact your IT Support Staff if you receive an error for further assistance
- After the upgrade to Windows 11 has completed, your computer will restart and bring you to the Windows 11 Login Screen. Please log in to your computer, and you will now be using Windows 11 on your Berkeley Desktop
