The following is a summary of the affiliations allowed to use the eduroam wireless network offered by the University of California Berkeley. Individuals who are not a member of a listed affiliation can use the CalVisitor basic Wi-Fi service or can request a sponsored guest account.
The airbears2 wireless network is reaching end of service, all new connections should be made to eduroam.
Please note that this information is updated to the best of our knowledge. Affiliation membership is managed by individual departments and central HR. Neither IST nor the network department can modify affiliations.
If you have the proper affiliations to access these services but are unable to do so, you must submit a ticket with your local desktop support group, student IT support, or the central service desk. If you do not have the proper affiliations please speak to your manager or local human resources representative.
Access to the eduroam wireless network requires an access key, it will not work with your CalNet or Active Directory credentials. To setup, or update, your WiFi access key please visit the WiFi Keys service (instructions for the service).
The length of time wireless service will work after an individual has departed the University is based on their sponsoring / host department and is not the same for all affiliations. The expiration of benefits should be discussed with your department manager or human resources representative.
