Effective July 16, 2024, all alumni CalNet accounts are subject to the CalNet Alumni Lifecycle Management policy. 

Please note: campus technical support teams are not able to provide information about the status of your accounts until after they verify your identity. Verification requires that you show support staff a government-issued ID via Zoom.

What happens when student CalNet accounts are no longer active:

Active/Claimed Alumni Account Management

Alums with active CalNet accounts can log in to any campus service available to alums, such as CalNet Account Manager, bMail (not available to all alums), or the alumni directory, using your CalNet ID and passphrase.

Immediately Disabling a CalNet Account 

To disable a CalNet account immediately, please submit the Exceptional Disabling of CalNet ID or Berkeley email (bMail) Service Accounts(link is external) form to IT Policy at policy-access@berkeley.edu(link sends e-mail). Once IT Policy has reviewed and approved the request, the user's CalNet account will be disabled.
