Granting Access to Perceptive Content to End Users

Considerations

Access to the system is directly managed by the Functional Owners of each implementation, through Calgroups, and not by the Imagine team. Please direct users to their own functional owners. If they have trouble identifying who the functional owners are, please direct them to the Imagine team.

Troubleshooting

  1. End User Experiencing Access Issues to Perceptive Content. If the end user is reporting issues accessing the system please ask:
    1. For the specific behavior they are seeing
    2. Are there error messages? If so, which ones? Please send a screenshot
    3. Have they recently changed their calnet id? their password?
    4. Do they have two calnet ids? If so, which one do they use to log into bmail? This is the one they should use to log into Perceptive Content
    5. Make sure that:
      • Users are logged into Prod and not QA via the Connection Profile option on the log in scree
      • For new users: their calnet id should be up and running, ask them to try with blu, BFS, etc.
      • For new users or users who have changed their password: make sure they review this calnet page
      • If users have changed their calnet id the ticket should be assigned to the Imagine team so that they can update that id in the Perceptive Content management console
  2. Functional owners with questions re how to grant access to users to their Perceptive Content instance of the system
    1. See kb article KB0012060 How to add users to the Perceptive Content system, formerly known as ImageNow
