UC Berkeley’s bConnected service uses Google G Suite for Education and Box for campus-wide email, calendar, and collaboration services for students, faculty, staff, and eligible affiliates.
SUPPORTED CLIENTS
Google G Suite for Education and Box are web-based, and you can access your account from https://bconnected.berkeley.edu, https://gsuite.google.com/dashboard or https://box.berkeley.edu.
Desktop and mobile apps released by Google and Box, such as Google Drive, the Gmail and Google Calendar apps for iOS and Android, and Box’s apps for desktop and mobile are supported.
Campus IT staff are available to support you with Google G Suite and Box supported client needs by contacting (510) 664-9000 ext. 1, 1 or bconnected@berkeley.edu.
UNSUPPORTED CLIENTS
You may choose to use a third party client software such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird to access your Gmail; Outlook or Apple Calendar to access your Google Calendar; or Expandrive, rclone, or Globus to access your Google Drive or Box. However, these and any other third party clients for bConnected services are not supported by campus IT staff.
If you have a question about the operation of any of these third party clients, please contact the vendor of those clients directly. You may want to troubleshoot by searching for the specific error in Google.
