Background
Sometimes after Windows updates on scanner machines, updates that also appear to push Group Policies, the scanner machines scanning to Perceptive Content are badly affected given end user has no rights on files needed to scan.
After the update the user tries to scan and gets the following error messages:
- "Error 20393 - Unknown ISIS error."
- They Click on "OK" and receive "there is no token for "CaptureNow - Adrenaline". The licenses will be checked to see if one is available
- They click "OK"
- Error 20013 - Device not reserved, they click on "OK"
Resolution
Imagine admins:
- Re-create scanning devices
- Update all scanning profiles so that they point to the new device
CSS-IT with local admin rights over the scanner machine:
Assign privileges to the following locations:
- appdata\imagenow (Read/Write/Modify)
- Program Files (86)\imagenow\etc (Read/Write/Modify)
- ProgramData\imagenow\etc (Read/Write/Modify)
