Installation from the App Store

  1. Open the App Store and search for “GlobalProtect.” It is listed under Business applications.
    • iOS v12 or newer: Install the standard GlobalProtect app.

    • iOS v11 or older: Install GlobalProtect Legacy.

  2. Once installed, launch the GlobalProtect app.
  3. If this is the first time you have installed a VPN product on your device, the client will ask for permission to add VPN configurations. Tap Allow or OK to continue.

Configuration and Connection

  1. You will be directed to the Settings page.

  3. Tap the Connect button. You will be redirected to the standard CalNet authentication page followed by the Duo verification screen.

  4. Upon successful connection, you will be taken to the status screen. You can disconnect or change your connection settings from the Home screen.

Usage Notes

To use the VPN in the future, simply launch the GlobalProtect app and select the VPN you wish to use. This will re-initiate the authentication process through CalNet.

Duo Limitation: Due to a limitation in how iOS supports the login screen, users are unable to select the "Trust this Device" option within the VPN client. It is highly recommended that the Duo Mobile app be installed on the same device as GlobalProtect so you can quickly approve the push notification without switching devices.
