Overview
The ServiceNow 6.4.0 and 6.4.1 releases are planned for Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.
What’s New
- Performance Analytics - Improvements have been made so that assignment groups can be categorized in a more detailed way. This is only available to a limited set of users right now.
Changes
- Platform - Only select file types will be allowed to upload to the platform. This was originally intended to be part of the 5.8.0 release on October 11, 2017. It was withheld to fix a critical issue. This will go live as planned with this release, except SQL files will be permitted for the time being. SQL files are being evaluated for restriction in a future release. We will work with our customers when we have a path forward to make sure it works with their business process. To see the details of this change, please see our knowledge base article.
Fixes
- Human Resources - Bug: In recruitment and waivers, “Provide any proposed chartstrings (if known)” was changed to singular chartstring because of newly added validation which limits the field to a single chartstring.
- Human Resources - Bug: In funding changes requests, the record number does not match “current funding information” that is displayed in the additional comments. This has been fixed.
Known Issues
- Human Resources - Funding change cases created before October 11, 2017 will no longer have nicely formatted Current Funding information. There is no way to make it more legible.
