Overview

The ServiceNow 6.0.0 release is planned for Friday, November 6, 2017, at 9:00 a.m.  ServiceNow will be  upgraded from Istanbul to Jakarta.

Changes

Timesheets/Timecard functionality has changed, see KB00120066

Platform, Information icon pop-up for multiple fields (Submitter, Department, etc), is now a click through. A few changes of note:

1) Pop-up does not appear on mouse-over, only on click

2) Checkboxes now show as true / false instead of rendering a checkbox

Connect Chat has been enabled for itil and hr_agent roles.  Users with these roles will see a “Follow” button, which will allow them to “follow” an incident or case through the Connect Chat feature.

Reporting now has an optional wizard to build/view reports (“Switch to Classic UI” link at top right of page)

Fixes

Ability to select colors for Visual Task Boards advanced settings has been fixed

Known issue with text within inbound email that is > 1 MB not fully displaying in the activity log has been fixed in Jakarta, and full text displays.

Known issue with updates to the configuration for Visual Task Boards not saving was fixed in Jakarta.

Classifications, Fulfillment view, Delete button has been restored to correct view for assigned role on Class and Reclass requests

KB Authors can now attach attachments

Known Issues

The "Approving" field on the approval record is showing an internal identifier instead of the display name

Pages on the ESS Portal is sometimes too small to see all items

Within the ESS, the drop down menu displays too long for some searches within questions

Platform, info icon pop-ups do not scroll with frame in fulfillment views
