Overview
The ServiceNow 5.0.0 release is planned for Friday, May 5, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The principle component of this release is the vendor upgrade to Istanbul Patch 5.
What’s New
We are upgrading to Istanbul Patch 5. Most users should see little to no interface changes with this release.
Fixes
The ServiceNow team will be pushing updates to the production server to support compatibility between the new release and previous local development.
Platform - The bug where some users on a Windows machine who have Dragon NaturallySpeaking installed and have experienced issues with ServiceNow functionality, has been fixed by the vendor in the Istanbul release.
Known Issues
Platform - Users with the share-group-filters role are no longer able to share filters with their group. This has been reported to the vendor and is a known issue. It is expected that this will be fixed in the next major release.
