Change Management for Non-Incident Users

This article is intended for members of the Change Advisory Board (CAB) who are not members of any of the Incident Management assignment groups; this means that your only group is "Non-incident Change Management Users".

(Note: if you are not familiar with the CAB process in ServiceNow, please see the knowledge base article, "Howto Manage Changes in ServiceNow".)

CAB members who are not also ServiceNow Incident Management users MUST select the "Non-incident Change Management Users" assignment group and indicate in the Description field what the actual group is that will be performing the change. If the change will be performed by a group that exists in ServiceNow, please select that group.

When you select "Request Approval", one of the members of the group will need to approve the Change. At this point you should approve the Change. It will then move to the Change Managers group for final approval.

Note that you and all members of this group will receive an email notification of the approval request. Over time you will be moved to individual assignment groups in ServiceNow.
