The Center for Student Conduct oversees the adjudication of all academic misconduct violations at UC Berkeley (http://sa.berkeley.edu/conduct/reporting/academic). In all academic conduct cases, instructors use their discretion to work directly with the student and/or the Center for Student Conduct to investigate, report, and resolve these issues.
Educational Technology Services staff are available to assist instructors in interpreting Originality Check reports, but determining whether academic misconduct has occurred remains at each instructor's sole discretion.
