The names displayed in bCourses are imported from other campus systems. To change the name that appears in bCourses, you would need to change your name in these other systems and you should see the changes reflected in bCourses within 24 hours.
Faculty/staff can modify their name information in the campus directory:
- Go to the CalNet Directory Update page
- Authenticate using your CalNet ID
- Select a Preferred Name by using the Edit Person Information button
Undergraduate students can update their names in CalCentral: CalCentral Dashboard
Graduate students may need to change their name in both systems.
