In some cases, you may be able to find an answer more quickly by following these steps before reaching out for IT support:

IT Support for UC Berkeley Employees and Affiliates

Faculty, staff, postdocs, student employees, visiting scholars & other affiliates can reach IT Support online (CalNet authentication required) or by phone (510-664-9000, option 1), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding University holidays and curtailment periods).

Drop-in IT support is available to employees at the Academic Innovation Studio (AIS) in 117 Dwinelle Hall on Level D during the following hours.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Monday through Thursday | 1 - 4 p.m.
  • Friday | 1 - 3 p.m.

The Drop-in Support Center will also be closed on the following dates:

  • Monday September 1st
  • Monday November 10th
  • Tuesday November 11th
  • November 24th through 28th
  • December 24th through January 5th, 2026

Tech Support for Students (non-employee) and Student Delegates (parents)

Student Tech Services (STS) provides free tech support to all graduate, professional, and undergraduate students at UC Berkeley, as well as Calnet support for their delegates. The Student Helpdesk is available in-person, by phone and via email (excluding University holidays and curtailment periods).
