This article explains how to connect to the UC Berkeley Campus eduroam WiFi network on a device running Android.

Before you Begin

  1. Forget the CalVistor and airbears2 networks from your remembered WiFi networks list
    • Click on the Apple logo and select System Preferences
    • Find and select Network
    • If your setting screen is locked, click the lock in the bottom left hand of the window and authenticate as an administrator
    • Click on the Advanced... button in the bottom right hand of the window
    • Look for the networks CalVisitor and airbears2, select them, and then click the minus "-" button to delete the networks
    • Click OK to close that window
    • Click Apply to save your changes, 
    • You can now exit the system preferences application
  2. Create your WiFi Key

Connecting macOS to eduroam

1. Click the WiFi icon macOS WiFi Icon in the top right hand section of the menu bar

2. Ensure WiFi is enabled with the selector to the right and showing blue

It may take a few moments for your computer to identify and list all available wireless networks

3. Locate eduroam and select it from the list

4. You will be prompted to log into the network and should use the following settings and then click Join

5. If you have entered the information as listed along with your correct WiFi ID and Key your device should connect to the eduroam network
