bCourses

Note: For you to be able to add a collaborator, that user must already have a Kaltura account within bCourses. The user must have gone to My Media or a site Media Gallery at least once previously to have their account created.

  1. In any of your bCourses sites, click on My Media in the left hand column. This is your personal Kaltura media repository where all media items that you own or have access to will appear.
  2. In your My Media, click the pencil icon next to the media item to go to the Edit page.
    • Or click into the media item and select Actions then select Edit.
  3. Select the Collaboration tab.
  4. Click +Add Collaborator.
  5. In the Add a Collaborator popup, enter the person’s name and you will be presented with options. Select the correct user.  (If that person is not listed, please see note at the top of this section.) Assign the user one or more of the following roles:
    • Co-Editor: Can edit media’s metadata, use the editor and replace media. Co-Editors cannot delete media or change collaborators. Co-Editors have access to the analytics data for the media.
    • Co-Publisher: Can publish media to channels
    • Co-Viewer: Can view media
  6. Click Add.
  7. Repeat for each person you want to add as a collaborator.
  8. Collaborators will be able to find the video within their own My Media.
