This article explains how to connect to the UC Berkeley Campus eduroam WiFi network on a device running Windows 10.
Before you Begin
- Forget or Delete the CalVistor and airbears2 networks from your remembered WiFi networks list
- Open Windows Settings from the Start menu
- Select Network & Internet and then Wi-Fi
- On the Wi-Fi page select Manage known networks
- Locate the wireless network, select it, and then choose Forget
- Create your WiFi Key
- If you have not yet created a WiFi key, navigate to https://wifi-keys.berkeley.edu and follow the prompts.

Connecting Windows 10 to eduroam
1. Click on the network icon in the system status tray on the bottom right hand of the desktop
2. If not already selected click on the WiFi button to display the wireless network list
It may take a few moments for your computer to identify and list all available wireless networks
3. Select eduroam from the list of networks, check the Connect automatically option, and then click Connect
4. You will be prompted to approve connecting to the network, click Connect
5. You will be prompted to log into the network and should use the following settings and then click OK
- Use my Windows user account: Unselected
- Name: your eduroam WiFi ID (example jtsmith@berkeley.edu)
- Password: your eduroam WiFi Key
6. If you have entered the information as listed along with your correct WiFi ID and Key your device should connect to the eduroam network
