Depending on your current appointment status at UC Berkeley (whether your a graduate student, work study, employee, etc) the ability to request access may vary, however for Staff / Faculty, access rights are automatically granted upon employment.
Before you begin:
- If you haven't done so, navigate to BearBuy and note if access is possible.
Access entitlement to BearBuy per appointment status:
- Graduate Students that are listed as inactive will either:
- Need to be set up by the department as an affiliate
- Be reactivated as a grad-student.
- Faculty and staff will need to be listed in HCM as a current employee.
- Student employees will need to be listed as a current employee in HCM.
