Beginning in Fall 2023, all students will be required to demonstrate their participation in each course to satisfy federal requirements. Learn more about Financial Aid eligibility.
Students will demonstrate their participation by completing a survey that will be administered via bCourses, or via email (if your course is not using bCourses).
To Complete Your Survey From bCourses
There are three ways to access the survey from bCourses:
1. Select the “Academic Integrity” tab in your course’s navigation menu and then select the survey displayed under Current Surveys:
2. From “Assignments” find the assignment named “Academic Integrity Assignment…”
3. From Announcements, find the announcement with the subject "Course Participation Assignment: [Course name]" and select the contained link.
From email (If your course is not using bCourses)
Look for an email from courseparticipation@berkeley.edu with the subject “Course Participation Assignment” and open the “Confirm your participation now” link.
From surveys.berkeley.edu
You can also access your surveys directly from surveys.berkeley.edu
Surveys will be made available on or around the fifth day of instruction.
