There are many benefits to Course Capture, but we recognize it may not suit every teaching style. If you wish to opt out, please visit the Course Capture website and log in using the “Access Course Capture” button. If you change your mind, you will be able to opt back in at any time as well.

To opt out for a specific class, simply toggle the switch on the right side of each class. Your class will be unscheduled within an hour, even if a co-instructor of that course has opted in.

To opt out of all your courses for the current semester only, toggle the “Opt out for current semester” option. This will remove all classes from Course Capture for that semester, even if a co-instructor of that course has opted in. Any new classes you join during this semester will also be automatically opted out. Any scheduled classes will be unscheduled within an hour.

If you want to opt out permanently, select the “Opt out for all semesters” option. This will unschedule all classes for the current semester and prevent future classes from being scheduled, even if a co-instructor of that course has opted in. Any scheduled classes will be unscheduled within an hour. However, you will still receive a reminder each semester (if you’re teaching in an eligible room) to review your Course Capture settings.
