My Media is your personal media repository, no matter where you access it from. Files in My Media are private to you unless you publish them.
To upload media to My Media:
1. Go to My Media. (You will find My Media in the site navigation (typically on the left side of the page) in almost any bCourses site you have access to. My Media also appears in MediaSpace, typically at the top of the page.)
2. Click the +Add New button and select Media Upload from the dropdown menu. (If you are using MediaSpace, this button is typically at the top right corner next to the search icon.)
The Upload Media page is displayed.
3. Drag in the media file into the window from your computer's desktop OR click Choose a file to upload and use your computer's file chooser to locate the media file.

Note that Kaltura cannot handle animated .gif files; if you try to upload them, they will appear as a still image of the gif's thumbnail. If you want to share an animated gif in bCourses, you will need to embed it using the Rich Content Editor. Refer to How do I embed media in bCourses? for more information.
4. While the file is uploading, you can change the name of the media, enter a description and tags about the media, change the publishing schedule, and add collaborators on the Upload Media page. Click the Save button at the bottom of the window to save the new details. You will still be able to edit these details later.
5. Eventually you should see “Upload Completed!” at the top of the window.
The media will now be available in your My Media.
