Important Student Privacy Information

If you intend to share video that includes student participation (identifying information such as name, image, or voice), you must follow certain practices; please see the Academic Senate FAQ "If I record a class lecture or discussion, and it includes student participation (identifying information such as name, image, or voice), can I share the recording with individuals who are not enrolled in the course?"

To share Zoom recordings copied to Kaltura via the Zoom to Kaltura integration:

Note that Zoom meetings recorded to the Zoom Cloud prior to January 6, 2026, were automatically copied to Kaltura for all Zoom cloud users who had a Kaltura account at the time of recording and can be found in their My Media. Zoom meetings recorded to the Zoom cloud on or after January 6, 2026 are only copied to Kaltura if the Zoom user had enabled the Zoom to Kaltura integration. See How do I enable the Zoom to Kaltura integration?

  1. Wait until the recordings appear in your My Media. Recordings should appear shortly after you stop recording in Zoom; this can sometimes be minutes but at other times may take several hours.
  2. Share the recordings. You have a variety of ways to do this, see How do I share media in Kaltura within bCourses?

Other things you may want to know how to do:

To share Zoom Cloud recordings created prior to enabling the Zoom to Kaltura integration

You will need to:

  1. Download these recordings to your hard disk. (For more info on downloading these recordings, follow the instructions in How do I download my Zoom Cloud recordings?)
  2. Upload the media to Kaltura; see How do I upload media to My Media?
  3. Share the recordings. You have a variety of ways to do this, all documented in How do I share media in Kaltura within bCourses?

To share Zoom recordings that were saved to your hard disk (not the Zoom Cloud)

You will need to:

  1. Locate the files on your hard disk.
By default, recordings are placed in a Zoom folder in Documents:
    PC: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Zoom
    Mac: /Users/User Name/Documents/Zoom
Screenshot of the Zoom folder opened in a file chooser
  2. Upload the media to Kaltura; see How do I upload existing media files to My Media?
  3. Share the recordings. You have a variety of ways to do this, all documented in How do I share media in Kaltura within bCourses?
