Approve and Publish a KB article

Created for Helsinki version of ServiceNow.

 

To publish articles to a KB, the article submitted will need to be approved. To approve/reject article, you will need the KB Manager role in ServiceNow. 

 

Navigate to Knowledge>Articles > Unpublished. This lists all KB articles waiting to be reviewed and approved/rejected by the KB manager. 

 

If the article needs change, you can either add that information to the article before approving it or reject the article with comments. 

 

You can also log into ServiceNow to Click on the article to review the information provided. To approve/reject : Navigate to Service Desk>My Approvals

Click on the KB article to approve. Click on the approve button or change the state to approved. Approving the article publishes the article

The rejected article status changes to Draft so the article creator can make the changes as requested by the KB Manager. Once the changes are made to the article the creator can resubmit the article for KB Manager approval.
