How does Duo Desktop work?
Duo Desktop will check your computer for and flag items that are missing or out-of-date:
- Updates and patches (including browsers and operating systems)
- Firewall turned on
- Disk encryption enabled
- Berkeley Security Software (BSS) installed

My Operating System is out of date. How do I fix this?
While an outdated operating system will not prevent you from logging in, it is a problem that needs to be fixed.
If your operating system is out of support (meaning it is no longer supported by the vendor), your login will be denied.
In either case, report the problem to the IT help desk for assistance.
