Note: Download settings can only be changed for published media. Media is published if the word "Published" appears next to the media in green on the My Media.

To change media entry settings to allow for download by viewers (settings only editable by media owners and co-editors):

1. Access My Media either through bCourses or MediaSpace.

2. Click on the title of the media in question. The media entry page will load.

3. From the Actions dropdown menu, select Edit. (If you do not see the Edit Option, your browser window is not wide enough; enlarge it to see the option.)

4. Select the Downloads tab. (Note: if your browser window is not wide enough, you may not see a Download tab; instead, you'll need to click Details and then select Download.)

5. Next to "Available Formats:", select checkboxes for any versions of the file you want to make downloadable. Please note that while the checkbox is available, not all videos have all formats. Therefore, it is recommended to select the “Source” option as that is always available.

6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

7. To confirm that you have made media downloadable, click Go to Media and click on the Download tab. Users who can see this page will now be able to click the download icon in the Actions column for any of the formats listed.
