How to Create Your Personal bConnected Account
- Creating a bConnected account also gives you access to the suite of collaboration tools such as bCal, bDrive, and Box.
Before you begin
1. Create your CalNetID and passphrase.
- Please note that your Berkeley email address (bMail) will be yourcalnetid @berkeley.edu.
- For students, navigate to the Create CalNet ID and follow the prompts.
- For staff and faculty, please note the on-boarding procedure given to you by your manager.
2. Synchronize your Calnet passphrase
To Create Your bConnected Account
1. Go to bconnected.berkeley.edu and select Account Information then Create Accounts
2. Click the create a bConnected Google account link from the Google Account section.
3. Authenticate with your Calnet ID and passphrase when prompted.
4. Verify your account is being created in the Berkeley.edu domain (Berkeley.edu should show in the pull-down menu), click continue.
5. Agree to the terms of use by typing yes in the field, click continue.
6. Click submit to create the account.
To log in to your new bMail account go to bmail.berkeley.edu and authenticate with your CalnetID and passphrase when prompted.
- Please note it can take up to an hour for your account to be fully available.
