Avaya Agent for Desktop Software Installation Guide & SIP Configuration
- Select Language
- Welcome Wizard, click on Next
- Select default location by clicking on Next
- Click on Next
- Leave fields unchecked and click on Next
- Check Mark Create a desktop icon for easy access to application.
- Next click on Install
- Once the application is done installing click on Finish and make sure the Launch Avaya Agent is checked.
Configuring AAFD Application for SIP
- Next choose your Language
- Check mark on Agree to accept the End User License Agreement
- Under license type ensure the following URL is populated under WebLM License Server Address: https://136.152.255.2:52233/WebLM/LicenseServer
Then ensure the Advanced/Standalone radio button is chosen. stat
- Next click on Launch
- Next Click on the settings icon
- Avaya Agent Settings Configuration:
- Under Server Configure the following items:
- ACM Login Type - Choose Use Local Configuration
- Local Server Settings choose SIP
- For Primary SIP Proxy address click on the down arrow to input the required fields:

- Server Address: 136.152.255.2
- Server Port: 5061
- Transport TLS

- For Secondary SIP Proxy address click on the down arrow to input the required fields:

- Server Address: 136.152.255.18
- Server Port: 5061
- Transport TLS

- For SIP Domain input berkeley.edu

- Then click on Save
- Next navigate to Security

- Under Password Storage Mode leave default
- Under PPM choose HTTPS
- Under Third-Party Certification choose Use Local
- Under Certificates download the 5 certificates from the following share drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1uX-3k5JiBsB90GRcVPhlC4XiAMpsqt04
- Then click on the + sign to upload all 5 of them to the client application.
- Under SRTP check mark enable SRTP
- Under Media Encryption Parameters choose 9
- Then click on Save
- Then close the application to save the changes you made.
Then click Yes to quit and close the application
- Next open your Avaya Agent for Desktop Application
Then Click on the settings icon
- Under Audio choose and test your prefer audio headset, speaker and microphone output. In this area, you can click on the test button to test your audio before taking live calls.
- Next setup a message waiting indicator for voicemail messages (If you don't have a voicemail you can skip this step). Go to preferences and under Message Waiting Indicator check mark Show Message Waiting Indicator and under voicemail box number put 62626
- Next configure Consultative transfer. Go to preferences, scroll down to Conference & transfer then make sure to put a check mark on Use Consultative Type of Conference, Then put a check mark on Use Consultative Type of Transfer.
Next click on save
- Next on the Avaya Agent Login Window, configure the following:
- Use for audio - set as My Computer
- Station ID - your 5 digit extension number
- Password – enter the password assing to you
- Under Agent ID - enter your 5 digit agent ID number (Starts with a 7)
- Password leave blank
- Then click on Sign In, this will sign you into the telephone
