For Zoom Cloud recordings created on or after January 6, 2021 8am:

You will need to:

  1. Wait until the recordings appear in your My Media. (Your recordings are automatically copied from the Zoom Cloud to your Kaltura My Media, assuming you have a Kaltura account. They should appear shortly after you stop recording in Zoom; this can sometimes be minutes but at other times may take several hours.)

  2. Share the recordings by doing one of the following:

Other things you may want to know how to do:

For Zoom Cloud recordings created prior to January 6, 2021 8am

You will need to:

  1. Download these recordings to your hard disk. (For more info on downloading these recordings, follow the instructions in "How do I download my Zoom Cloud recordings?")

  2. In bCourses, click on Media Gallery in your bCourses site navigation

  3. Click Add Media, then click Add New and select Media Upload.

Screenshot of Media Upload selected in Add New menu

  4. Click on “Choose a file to upload,”  and select the zoom recordings (.mp4 files) you would like to upload. Please see info below for help finding your Zoom recordings.

During or after the upload you can name your file (zoom_0.mp4 is probably not a good name for your file…), provide a description,  set a Publishing Schedule, add Collaborators, and define the Publishing Status (private= personal use, published = sharing with bCourses site members only)

    upload confirmation page
  1. Click Save after the media has uploaded and you have completed any editing of metadata.

Your Zoom recording is now viewable by all members (students, TAs, GSIs) in your bCourses site. It is also placed in your My Media.

Locating Zoom files that you recorded to your computer's hard disk:

By default, all recordings will be placed in a Zoom folder in Documents:

PC: C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Zoom
Mac: /Users/User Name/Documents/Zoom
