What and where are files on my CSS-IT workstation backed up?

Users on the CSS-IT infrastructure have the following personal folders / files on their workstation synced to corresponding folders on the H: drive whenever they log into their system:

Available shared network drives / folders are:
  • G: (Shared between one's team / group / department)
  • H: (Home and personal files that are only accessible by the individual)
  • O: (Organizational, primarily used by Campus Shared Services)
Which are accessible through My Computer in Windows XP, 7 & 8.

If your machine loses network connectivity, you will continue to see these files and directories through the H drive.
  • Note that if you modify files while offline, the changes will be updated to the network copies the next time a connection is established. If you happen to make conflicting changes, these will be displayed in the Sync Center and you can choose to keep either or both versions of a file.
