How do I set an external password for my UC Berkeley Box account?

Certain uses of a UC Berkeley Enterprise Box account do not support the use of ones CalNetID / Single Sign On. Such functions include:

• External applications (iPhone / iPad, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc).
• Add-ons to Box.
• FTP access

To use these applications, a Box external password will need to be created.

To create an external Box password:

1. Navigate to berkeley.box.com/
2. Click on the Continue button on the right of the screen.
   • If prompted by the CalNet Authentication Screen, enter your CalNetID and passphrase.
3. Navigate to the official Box Content Migration FAQ
   • Scroll down to the How do I create an external password [...] section of the article.
4. Create the external password as applicable.
