There are many methods available for you to use CalNet 2-Step, even if you do not own a smartphone:

  • Employees, Students and Affiliates: You can request a free Yubikey by emailing calnet2-stephelp@berkeley.edu.
  • Students: If you already have a simple hardware token, you may use it as a 2-Step device. See: Using a Simple Hardware Token for instructions.
  • Backup Passcodes: You can print or save single-use backup passcodes from mycalnet.berkeley.edu
