Only authenticated users can view cloud recordings

We set up a new authentication profile for the berkeley.edu domain.  Those who wish to secure their Cloud Recordings can now restrict it to only those who can log in with a CalNet ID.

Only authenticated users can join meetings

We set up a new authentication profile for the berkeley.edu domain. Per Zoom's security recommendation we removed the 'all zoom users' authentication profile. We still have "Only authenticated users can join meetings" turned off by default for the Zoom users, but if Zoom users want to enable it for their account, they can now restrict the attendees to only those in the berkeley.edu domain.

04/01/2020Berkeley Zoom Administrator We disabled the Google and Facebook login access and now require everyone to log in with their CalNet IDs at berkeley.zoom.us or through the Zoom client app. If you receive any incidents from customers with the message "You cannot log into your Zoom account using this method", please direct them to berkeley.zoom.us to log in. KB article
03/31/2020Zoom  Starting March 31, the Waiting Room feature will be automatically turned on by default.   The Berkeley accounts intentionally have this feature turned off by default but it can be enabled by the Zoom account holder. Zoom article
03/26/2020Zoom Based on feedback from our Education community, as of March 26th, the screen sharing settings within your account have automatically defaulted to “Only Host.”.  If a Zoom subscriber had already set this to another setting, that override was retained. Zoom Article
