When you replace your smartphone but keep the same phone number, you must reactivate the device in the Duo Control Panel before you can receive pushes or use the Duo Mobile app again.
Steps to Reactivate Your New Phone
- Go to MyCalNet and click Login in the upper right corner.
- Log in with your CalNet ID and passphrase.
- When the 2-Step prompt appears, select "Other options" and then select "Manage devices" at the bottom of the list.
Note: You must complete a 2-Step authentication to access the device management screen. You can use:
- A secondary device (like a tablet or security key)
- A previously generated backup passcode
- A temporary bypass code provided by the Help Desk
For detailed instructions on adding different types of backup devices, please see: How to Get Started with 2-Step (KB0011939).
- Once you are in the device list, find your old phone entry and select "I have a new phone."
- Follow the on-screen steps provided by Duo to pair the app on your new device.
