If you create content in YouTube, remember to make your content accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies.
- Google has published instructions for adding subtitles and closed-captions to videos in their support page: Add subtitles & closed captions.
- If you have a video that needs to be described for your audience, you can describe your YouTube video to have video descriptions added. Visit YouDescribe and create your own described version of the YouTube video to share with your audience that needs description. Please note that it is best practice to provide both a link to the described version and the YouTube version in the same place.
