Once you have synced your course and installed your software, you can now run your poll in your class. iClicker works through taking screenshots of your lecture slides and sending them to your students’ devices, so you can use any software like PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. You can also choose which specific screen or window, or even no screen at all, to send to your students’ devices.

  1. Launch the iClicker Cloud desktop app and login through the campus portal.
  2. You should find your course on the list. When you hover your mouse over the course name, a dark blue “Start Class” appears.
  3. Click on “Start Class” to launch the iClicker toolbar.
  4. Once you are ready, you can prompt your students to sign into their iClicker accounts either through the student.iclicker.com website or student App.
  5. You can click on the blue icon of the toolbar to hide it while you are lecturing.
  6. Once you are ready, pull up your slide that contains the poll question.
  7. On the iClicker Cloud toolbar, click on “Poll”. The toolbar then changes to show options for activity formats. Click on the drop-down arrow next to “Multiple choice” to reveal the options.
  8. To go live and start allowing responses, click on the green play button.
  9. The students should be prompted to “Join Class”

  11. Once you are done, you can click on the red Stop button.
