How do I create an Ed Discussion for my course?

Please follow the steps below to create an Ed Discussion course linked to your bCourses site.

Add Ed Discussion to the bCourses Course Navigation

  1. Go to the bCourses site where you want to create an Ed Discussion course.
  2. Select the Settings link in the Course Navigation.

  3. Select the Navigation tab.

  4. Scroll down and select the three dot (⋮) Options icon next to "Ed Discussion."
  5. From the popup menu, select Enable. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the Ed Discussion link above the hidden items section.

  6. Select Save.

Launch Ed Discussion and Activate the Course

  1. The Ed Discussion link will now appear in the course navigation. Select the Ed Discussion link.

  2. In the new browser window, select Activate Course to give students in your bCourses site access to the Ed Discussion course.

  3. Students can now access the Ed Discussion course from the bCourses navigation, direct links to the Ed Discussion course, or from their Ed Discussion dashboard.
