Zoom: Making International Calls with Zoom

A knowledge base article about Zoom: Making International Calls with Zoom provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal

When you schedule a meeting, the invite includes the following:

Or Telephone:
    Dial: +1 646 558 8656 (US Toll) or +1 408 638 0968 (US Toll)
    Meeting ID: 421 422 980

International attendees have the option to join via VoIP, or dial into a toll international phone number (which is provided in the above link). All of the international toll numbers we provide will connect into the same conference call bridge of the meeting, regardless of where the attendee is located.

The link just provides a complete list of all free and international toll dial in phone numbers we provide at no additional charge, unless otherwise noted on that site in red. Computer audio (VoIP) can also be used for any of those international countries as well.

Any attendee that joins via VoIP, regardless of location, is not charged since they are using computer audio (the host is not charged for their usage). If any international attendee calls into any of the international toll numbers we provide (in the above link), they will be charged a local/long distance rate based on their personal audio provider. The host is NOT charged.

The host is ONLY charged for an attendee's minutes if they are dialing into a provided toll free number.

Charges are only incurred for US Toll Free (at $.025/min., charged monthly based on actual usage) or if a dial in phone number is required for any of our premium countries listed (China, India, etc. - those listed in red).
