Visualizing your department in IST at Level 5

Each department is  currently mapped at the L4 unit in IST.  IST is now offering an option for departments to change the way they view services or order from IST on the Telecom Catalog: at the more granular L5 level. The advantage of this is that departments can view a more specific, limited array of services particular to their own unit, instead of having to pull up or deal with a much larger department. This granularity can speed up a department's ordering process and make it much easier to view and control their IST inventories of products and services.

We are currently offering 12 L4 departments this enhancement. If they agree, we will offer them a two-week trial period to test their visualization, and then implement the change for them. If the L4 department opts in, we will disaggregate the L5s overnight, and the next day the department can de-assign all permissions from the L4, and reassign at the L5 to see their new visualization in the Telecom Catalog.
