Audience
- All faculty, students, staff, affiliates and alumni who use, and collaborate in, Google Drive.
Both your My Drive and Shared Drives are subject to the Google Account Storage limits. If you want to understand how much storage you or your Shared Drive has used, follow the directions below.
My Drive
- Within Google Drive, you can view your total storage used at the bottom of the left sidebar.
- The Google Drive storage page will display your total storage usage, including a breakdown of Google Drive and Gmail storage.
Shared Drive
- Navigate to your Google Drive.
- Expand the Shared drives item in the left sidebar.
- Double-click your Shared Drive to open.
- Click View details (little i in a circle) in the upper right hand corner to open the Details panel.
- Scroll down to view Storage used under Drive details. Note: If no storage amount appears, your usage is below the limit.
Requesting More Storage
You can request more storage for your individual account or a Shared Drive. Please refer to Google Drive: Available Options and Requests for more information.
