"The ImageNow Server network connection is temporarily unavailable." error message

Background

Sometimes, when users change machines, or when a user is trying to access a new installation of Perceptive Content, formerly known as ImageNow, they get the mentioned error message when trying to log into the system:

"The ImageNow Server network connection is temporarily unavailable. Try your request again later" 

This could happen for a number of reasons, one of them could be that the actual server is down, however, we have found that when users come across this issue the reason, most of the time, is that the server ID is incorrect.

Resolution 

  1. Click on the Perceptive Content icon
  2. On the login dialog box go to Connection Profiles \ Edit Connection Profiles \ Modify \ Production 
  3. Make sure the settings are as follows:
