Bookmarking Service Now Telecom Catalog and Pinnacle

With the update of the Pinnacle application to version 7.1, the log-in page using the CAS (Calnet Authentication Service) system has changed. To help create new bookmarks to Pinnacle, and to Service Now supported browsers please follow the instructions for each specific browser below;

Pinnacle -- https://www.mypinnaclelogin.com/berkeley/app/AUTH?client_id=PINN_UCBERK

1. Click on the Pinnacle (to set-up in your default browser)
   1. for non-default browser, right-click the link above and select Copy Link Location
   2. in alternative browser, open a new tab, and Paste the link (control-V or right-click select Paste) into the URL field.  Hit Enter
2. (You should see a CAS authentication screen).  Click the star next to the URL field.  (This will 'favorite' the location.)
3. When you click the star icon, you should get a Edit this Bookmark (Firefox), 'Bookmark Added' (Chrome) or 'Favorites' (IE, MS Edge) pop-up dialog box with Name, and Folder (Chrome, Firefox) or Location (IE, MS Edge) fields.
4. Keep the Name or customize it to 'Pinnacle (Log-in)'
5. Keep the Folder/Location or change it to your preferred location -- e.g. Bookmark Toolbar (Firefox), Bookmarks Bar (Chrome) or Favorites Bar (MS Edge).  Click 'Done' button.
6. You can drag the bookmark to a different position in the Bar or Menu, or right-click and customize the bookmark again (e.g. change the name)
7. (for any previous bookmarks to old Pinnacle version you may have in your browser, right-click the bookmark and select 'Delete'.)

Service Now Telecom Catalog -- https://tc.berkeley.edu

• The Telecom Catalog page (or 'TC' page) is the preferred bookmark location.  From this page, you click on the button in the center of the page to take you to Berkeley's Service Now Telecom Catalog CAS log-in page.

1. (like the above instructions), Click the 'TC' link above to setup SNow in your default browser
   1. or right-click, select Copy, and in your alternative browser, select URL field, right-click and 'Paste and Go'
2. (with a CAS authentication screen showing), click the Star icon next to the URL field
3. Edit the Name and Location of the new bookmark (e.g. 'SNow Telecom Cat', and 'Bookmarks Bar').  Click 'Done'.

To edit your saved bookmarks;

• for each browser, you can; create and rename folders (delete too ... be careful!  There is no undo), move position of folders and bookmarks, and move bookmarks between folders and locations (menu and bookmark bar), by dragging with the mouse or select then 'Cut' (or 'Copy') and select in new position (right-click on another bookmark) and 'Paste' to new position (insert above the other bookmark).
• for Firefox, click on Star-Underscore icon in browser's toolbar. Click 'Show All Bookmarks' at bottom of pop-up menu.
• for Chrome, click on the Three-Dot icon (far right in toolbar), select Bookmarks, then Bookmark Manager
• for Microsoft Edge, click the Star-Bars icon in toolbar.  If not selected, click on the Star icon (Favorites) in the pop-up menu
• for Internet Explorer, in Menu Bar, click on 'Favorites' in menu, then 'Organize Favorites'.  (If the menu toolbar is not visible, right-click an empty region of the icon toolbar, and select 'Menu Bar' to show it)
