Supported Web Browsers

TelCat ServiceNow Supported browsers as of August 2023 (Utah):

Browser support varies for each version of the user interface (UI). Most major browsers are supported.  Some features have additional browser requirements, which are noted in the appropriate documentation.

Note: UI11 is no longer supported. All instances have been upgraded to Core UI. New Utah instances have the Next Experience UI.

Browsers:

  1. Chrome: Latest public release of the browser, and the two previous releases
  2. Firefox and Firefox ESR: Latest public release of Firefox and Firefox ESR, and the two previous releases
  3. Internet Explorer: NOT Supported
  4. Microsoft Edge Chromium: Latest public release of the browser, and the two previous releases
  5. Safari: Safari 12.0 and up
  6. Tablet Mobile: Not supported
  7. Phone Mobile*: Not supported

Mobile phone browsers do not support the desktop version of the UI. Instead, mobile browsers use the mobile UI.

With the release of Quebec upgrade for ServiceNow (August 2021), the Telecom Catalog supports the latest public version or service pack of:

And for tablets devices (* not supported on mobile phone browsers):

¤ - In some Safari versions, user credentials may be disclosed to an unexpected site via auto-fill.  Starting with Safari 9.1, the leave page / stay on page pop-up message only displays once.

¤ - As of June 2022, Internet Explorer has been deprecated by Microsoft, and will no longer be supported.  It is not recommended as a browser for accessing ServiceNow.
