Telecom Catalog 1.0 is an automated ordering and provisioning platform for ordering telecommunications products and services. The new catalog was built because web-based user experiences have improved in the years since the IST Shopping Cart was built and the existing system is no longer supported by its vendor.  It was time to simplify and move to a more service-oriented system.

Campus customers who participated in user testing, town halls, and hands-on training tell us the system is easy to use and a large improvement over the existing IST Shopping Cart.  

The Telecom Catalog ordering platform has these features and benefits:

n emails and attachments are kept with the order so they're not lost and each provisioning assignment group (CCU, EM, etc.) has the same information

n Viewable stages to track your order as it moves through the system stages to completion

n A searchable Knowledge Base that doesn't require logging in to view so telecom information is accessible and easy to find.
