Purpose

This knowledge article will show you how to build a report that displays when each of your articles were last updated.  This report will display them by quarter.

Create a New Report

1. Go to the left navigation bar, and type Report in the search box

2. Select Create New from the Report menu

 

 

3. When you create a new report, the wizard will walk you through four stages.  It will open up on the Data stage, but can move between stages by clicking the on the words: DataTypeConfigure or Style.

 

4. Populate the "Data" fields by including a.) Report name is whatever you want, Source type is Table, and Table is Knowledge [kb_knowledge].

 

5. Select the Save button.

 

6. Select the Next button.  The report wizard will move to the next stage: Type.

 

7. Select the Bar chart.

8. Select the Next button.  The report wizard will move to the next stage: Configure.

 

9. Populate the "Configure" fields.

 

10. Select the filter icon to the right of the Configure pane. 

 

11. Add the report Conditions in the order listed.  After typing in each condition select AND on the right-hand side.  Enter your name in the Author condition.

 

 

 

12. Select the Save button.

 

13. For this report, we will skip the Style stage.

 

14. Run the Report.  The report will appear below the report Conditions, so you may have to scroll down the page to see it.

 

 

15. The report will be saved in your report queue.  To find your saved reports, go Go to the left navigation bar, and type Report in the search box.  Select View / Run from the Report menu.
