Remote Desktop Access through SAGate

For All SA managed workstations RDP access from outside of an SA managed network subnet requires the usage of the gateway SAGate. 

Remote Desktop Connection configuration PC 
1) Click to Show Options 
2) Click on Advanced Tab 
3) Open Settings... 
4) Click the radio button for "User these RD Gateway server settings 
Server Name : sagate.berkeley.edu 
Logon Method : Ask for password (NTLM) 

Microsoft Remote Desktop configuration OS X 
1) Click on Preferences 
2) Click on Gateway tab 
3) Click + to add a gateway server, enter settings 
Gateway Name : SAGate 
Server : sagate.berkeley.edu 
4) In the specific Remote Desktop configuration that requires SAGate ensure that it is selected in the Gateway dropdown menu 

If the customer is experiencing trouble authenticating to SAGate ensure that they are prefixing their CalNet (or other SA provided credentials) with "campus\" to specify the domain. 

If the customer is denied access to SAGate attempt the connection using PVT credentials to ensure configuration. If configuration is correct open a ticket with "SAIT - Windows Infrastructure" providing the customer's CalNet credentials asking to check their membership (inherited or direct) to the SAIT-SAGate Users-gs group.
