The ServiceNow team will release updates and changes to the ITSM/HR platform on the evening of Monday, August 29, 2022.
Overview
The ServiceNow 11.12.0 release is planned for Monday, August 29, 2022, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
New
- IT Service Management - Business Service and Service Offering have been added to the Incident form for Agents. For more information on Configuration Item, Business Service and Service Offering, please read [Introduction of the Business Services and Service Offering fields in Incident].
- Human Resources - The attachment tab has been added to all HR case types for agents similar to legacy cases.
- Human Resources - The Employee ID field has been added to the hire record for future use. When EID is entered, the field will directly check if UC Berkeley’s internal systems have received the Employee ID number, if internal systems have not, it will inform the agent but still let you save the form to allow work to continue. ServiceNow will take an additional 1-2 days to get the ID number and employee record from the UC Berkeley internal systems.
Updates
- Human Resources - Modification of the Benefits Counseling for Intercampus Transfer task in a Hire. Will not stop workflow.
- Human Resources - The Leave Start and End date validation has been improved. It will only validate the date's order if they are filled. If either date field is left blank, it will not validate the order of the dates.
- Human Resources - The speed of searching in the HR Service Hub has been improved. Searching for approvals was very slow and has been removed. You can still access your approvals in the navigation menu.
